RGII Director Election Result

On 31st August 2021 RSM Ireland along with an independent Election Officer conducted a count of the ballots for nominated RGI Director on the RGII Board. The results of this election were as follows:

We would like to congratulate Sean Giffney on his election and we wish the other nominees every success in the future.

RGII Webinars

In mid-August, RGII in association with Gas Networks Ireland announced the launch of a series of Webinars for RGIs. These webinars address some technical issues which RGII come across during our inspections as well as bringing RGIs the latest updates from Gas Networks Ireland.

Episode 1 on Pipe Sleeving and a visit to a Biomethane production facility was published on 12th August, you can watch it here. The Technical Bulletin relating to this webinar can be downloaded here.

Our 2nd Episode will be published mid-September, and it will cover issues surrounding Condense pipework and a visit with GNI to their Hydrogen testing facility. Again, there will be a short quiz on the content of the Webinar, the prize available will be 1 * €100 One4All gift voucher.

Certification Returns and Sales

RGII would like to remind all RGIs of their responsibility to return completed Declaration of Conformances (certificates). The requirement is for all RGIs to return completed certificates to RGII within 20 days of issue to your customer. Certificates should be returned by post, or dropped in the box provided at our offices;

The sale and processing of certificates continue as normal. These can be purchased from the RGII online shop at https://rgi.ie/installers/my-account/ or using the dedicated hotline at 01 499 7998 during office hours.

Orders placed by phone or through the website can be collected from our offices on the following schedule:

Order collection times:

9am – 10am (If you order before 2pm on the previous day)

3pm – 4pm (If you order before 12 noon on the same day)

We are currently receiving reports of delays in the postal system due to COVID-19, but unfortunately this is outside the control of RGII. Express Post option is available on all orders. Please note that Express Post is mandatory on all orders over €150.
