The Board of RGII, through its chairman, Liam Doyle, welcomes the appointment of incoming General Manager Pierce Martin and Safety Manager Sean Mc Ginley to the organisation.
Pierce will be responsible for the day to day management and strategic planning of RGII in its re-appointment by CER from January 2016 as the Gas Safety Supervisory Body in Ireland for registration of gas installers. Pierce previously held senior management roles in the energy industry, professional services and international consultancy and has many years’ experience in managing national safety programmes and implementing best practice safety management systems. He looks forward to building on the solid foundations, good stakeholder relations and staff teamwork established by retiring General Manager Paul Waldron.
Sean Mc Ginley who has many years’ experience working in the industry has taken over the role of Safety Manager from Willie Wilson who has retired after some 44 years in the gas industry. Pierce and Sean will work closely with the CER, the RGII Board, its committed staff and the Installer Representative Panel, to achieve their goal to ensure that RGII continues to improve and grow in effectiveness to deliver a professional service to both Registered Gas Installers and gas users.
The Board would like to thank Paul and Willie for their loyal service and to wish them both many happy years of a well-earned retirement.
