Results of IRP Elections 2024

Return to Installers' Account Page

We are happy to announce the results of the Installer Representative Panel (IRP) Elections 2024. The election of RGI representatives to the IRP is an important action to ensure effective communication and representation for all RGIs. The elected nominees serve as a link between Registered Gas Installers (RGIs), the Gas Safety Supervisory Body (GSSB), and the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU).

The election to the IRP is regionally based and the panel had six (6) vacancies for Registered Gas Installers. Following a call for nominations, six (6) candidates were nominated. As the number of candidates equaled the number of vacant positions, all candidates were deemed elected without an election. The successful nominees are as follows:

Leinster:

  • Ken Lawrence
  • Mark Ryan

Munster:

  • Richie Burke
  • John Reynolds

Connaught/Ulster:

  • Pat Jordan
  • Shane  O’Neill

These individuals will represent the interests of Registered Gas Installers in their elected areas and each members’ remit is to represent Registered Gas Installers from all sectors and across the Republic of Ireland.  Their term of appointment spans three years. Regular meetings, chaired by the CRU, take place where items raised by RGI representatives, the GSSB and the CRU are discussed.

Congratulations to the elected representatives and thank you to all participants for their engagement in the election process. Together, we continue to uphold the highest standards of safety and excellence within the Registered Gas Installer scheme.
