The CER has, to date, accepted as part of the entry requirement to join the RGI scheme the successful completion of a Gas Installer Safety (GIS) and Gas Installer Domestic (GID) qualification. The Domestic Gas Safety (DGS) qualification is an amalgamation of the GIS and GID and as such will be now be accepted by the CER as a replacement for the GIS and GID as the entry route to become an RGI (in addition to the other scheme entry requirements).
